PADI was born from that very feeling.
Brody grew up in Indonesia, even though he was born in the U.S. — raised on the flavors, aromas, and warmth that define every Indonesian table. Renatta, born and raised in Indonesia, spent the past 10 years living abroad in the U.S., carrying with her the same longing for food that tastes like home.
What connected us was simple: we missed Indonesia — and we missed the food that shaped who we are.
From street stalls to family kitchens, Indonesian cuisine is rich, bold, deeply personal, and yet, still not widely recognized for the greatness it holds. We realized that what we were searching for here — those flavors we grew up craving — didn’t exist the way we remembered them. So we decided to create it.
Together, we partnered to build a restaurant that celebrates modern Indonesian cuisine, inspired by tradition but presented with innovation. Our mission is to introduce Indonesian food in a way that excites new guests and comforts those who already love it — a place where every dish tells a story and every bite feels like a memory.
More than anything, we hope that when you walk through our doors, you feel at home — whether you are Indonesian or simply someone curious to taste something new. Because we believe Indonesian food deserves the recognition it has long awaited, and we are honored to share what we love with you.
