PADI was born from a shared longing for home.
Brody grew up in Indonesia despite being born in the U.S., surrounded by the flavors, aromas, and warmth of Indonesian food. Renatta, born and raised in Indonesia, spent the past decade living in the U.S., carrying with her the same deep craving for food that tastes like home.
What connected us was simple — we missed Indonesia, and we missed the food that shaped who we are.
From street stalls to family kitchens, Indonesian cuisine is rich, bold, and deeply personal. Yet, it remains underrepresented for the greatness it holds. When we couldn’t find those flavors the way we remembered them, we decided to create them ourselves.
